Miracle of the week – Walking Became Possible, by Dr Sean Eastwood
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
An 18 month old child presented to the clinic and she could only crawl by dragging herself forward with her hands or by rolling sideways.
If I tried to place the child on the ground her hips flexed to right angles. She had never stood or walked and would scream if shoes were put on her feet.
Miracles of Healing and Health.
The outsides of her feet appeared bruised. There was extensive atrophy, or wasting of both feet. She looked pale and unwell.
After the first visit the child was crawling. After her second visit the child had stood and was wearing shoes. After her third visit the child had taken four steps and the muscles in her feet were regenerating.

Miracle of the week – The Miracle of Jaxon Cole, by Michelle Bowers
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
Hello Miracle Readers,
I hope that you read this story and it inspires you to love to your fullest, hope with all of your heart, and believe as if it already took place!
My son Jaxon Cole was born at home a healthy 9lb baby boy. It was a beautiful birth! 3 1/2 weeks later Jaxon started to get sick. He seemed sleepy and had a cold. Within a few hours he started to become very lethargic, stopped nursing, and was foaming at the mouth. He started to turn blue around his lips.
I took him right to the Emergency Room. I held him in my arms and just loved him. The doctor came to see him, and started to panic. When they checked Jaxon’s oxygen levels they were so low they thought the machine broke. They moved him onto a different machine and sure enough his oxygen was truly that low. They started poking him with IV’s, yelling for an ER team to come, intubated him on the table and placed him on a ventilator. He was so weak and now he was drugged. I was devastated. My entire world came crashing down! Not only do we live such a natural lifestyle, but none of my 5 children have ever even been to a doctor other than the Chiropractor!
The minutes passed as if they were weeks! I was so scared, and so sad that so many people were touching my baby. I just held his hand and prayed! I never left his side. A few days had passed without much improvement. On the 4th day we were told that our son’s lungs were filling with fluid and he had a severe case of pneumonia. The main doctor hit his main artery while trying to place an IV line and he bled a third of his blood volume. He needed blood transfusions, and his lungs were getting sicker. On the 10th day we were told that his lungs had so many holes in them from the machine that he needed to be transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. We were told once we arrived in Philadelphia that he would most likely not survive! It was a miracle that he made it through the night.
We fought every day for our son. We kept his room positive, we prayed all day, we had thousands of people across the country praying for our son. We held every part of his little body as he layed stilll on the bed. I sang to him, and told him how strong he was. I told him that his innate intelligence was healing his body! I told him that BJ Palmer was a smart man and said that ‘the power that made the body, can heal the body’. Each day I told him what was going on, and that we were never going to leave him. We told him to fight and to trust his body. I told him never to be scared and I just poured my love into him.
Each day the doctors would tell us that he may not survive, and each day we just hoped! At one point he got so bad he required the most radical form of Life Support called ECMO. It is a lung bypass machine, and the machine is so very dangerous. Two tubes go into the jugular vein and pump blood outside of the body to be oxygenated from an articiial lung. It is a machine that does not treat, but allows the lungs to heal. Most of the children passed away on the same unit as my son who had the same illness.
I spoke to the team of doctors and told them they were no longer allowed in the room with my son because they were negative and not hopeful for his life. I told them not to cross the yellow line unless they came to speak positively. I used aromatherapy each day!
I knew if it were not for Chiropractic, Love, and Prayer Jaxon would never have survived! We were told that most babies only stayed on ECMO for less than 7 days. Jaxon stayed on it for 23. Everything that could have gone wrong did. We were told that there was a 1% chance of something happening and each time it happened. We were then approached by the head cardiologist and told that our son’s heart was failing due to his lungs being so sick! I again just sang, loved, and held his hand each and every day!
He is a healthy amazing smiley 8 month old boy! We were told he would most likely never learn how to nurse again and sure enough he taught himself how to nurse again. I know that Chiropractic taught me that the body can heal itself. I know that innate intelligence is so profound, and that my son even though every one else gave up hope lived because we did not! I know that if I never knew about Chiropractic my son would have died! I kept excel spreadsheets of everything that was happening to him, I questioned every single procedure, and every decision that the MD’s made, I was Jaxon’s advocate because I was his Chiropractic Mom Warrior! I believed in him and his ability to fight. I would hold his hand and focus all of my love into his body. I would massage his feet and the entire time I would focus on the lung area and visualize his lungs healing.
I believe in Miracles! I expected one and I received it! I am forever grateful to this group for allowing others to have the hope that I was fortunate enough to experience!
Thank you!
With Love and More Love,

Miracle of the week – A powerful tool in essence, by Mason Garten

Miracles of Hope.
Magicians use them to bedazzle us, Fortune Tellers can read our future through them, children play with them for fun, they are used to identify us, to celebrate an occasion, to give us hope, make us feel loved and sometimes they are used to keep use on track with a cue. Regardless, one could say the
humble card is certainly understated and unappreciated. What a powerful yet simple invention!
“Mr Miracle Man”, Dr John Hinwood certainly showed me how powerful the card can be…
As a professional Realtor, the Auction Room is the best place to get business done. It is often full of intense emotion and anything can happen.
Three essential ingredients are required to achieve a sale – a seller, a buyer and the will by both parties to move forward and agree on an unconditional deal. Recently during an extended auction negotiation, I was in discussion with 3 potential buyers, the highest purchaser decided to pull out after 3 hours of negotiating, and the other 2 parties had lost hope of securing the property and left the building to drive home.
John saw I was running uphill and in need of a little inspiration. He gave me one of his ‘Expect A Miracle’ cards and said to me,” Mason, this little card will make all the difference”. It certainly put a smile on my face, and gave me the essential motivational lift I needed. Instead of pondering the loss of the buyers, it provided me the inspiration to clear my mind, and get one of the potential buyers across the line by pondering the possibilities and thinking outside the box.
I rang the family of conditional buyers who had left the building and were driving home, miraculously they came back and we hammered out an unconditional deal that worked for everyone.
A simple card in appearance and a powerful tool in essence. Miracles are all around us, we just need to recognize them and appreciate them when they happen.
Kind Regards,
Mason Garten

Miracle of the week – Not a curse but a miracle, by B Smith
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
I am 32 years old, and was recently diagnosed with my second cancer (Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma).
Whilst you may be thinking “miracle? What is this girl on???”, I see this diagnosis as a miracle. After having a life-threatening form of thyroid cancer when I was 18 years old, I have been very conscious of my body and looking after my physical and spiritual wellbeing for many years.
I had been fit and well up until August 2008, when we had a messy sewage spill at home (hold your horses, there IS a miracle in here, promise!).
After falling ill, along with one of my cats, the doctors decided to do some more tests. Whilst looking for some notorious parasite that had renewed my appreciation of the invention of the toilet (!!), they found a growth in my duodenum. After more tests, it was confirmed as lymphoma.
Whilst for others, this may seem like a curse more than a miracle, I believe a greater good was served by my unfortunate run-in with the neighbourhood sewage system!
My form of lymphoma is often not discovered until it is advanced, and it was only through a lesser evil that they were able to diagnose me early, and hopefully manage it more successfully.
Life has it’s moments, and I for one appreciate every minute! Bring on the miracles!

Miracle of the week – Mikey, by Dr J Demartini
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
There have been many times in my life when special, inspiring and seemingly miraculous events have occurred, when I have been brought to tears of gratitude for having the opportunity to witness such a heart opening moment. One such story involves a young boy named Mikey and his parents.
Mikey’s story is an amazing one of healing. I was 28 years of age and in my first year of chiropractic practice in my new office in west Houston, Texas, when a 34 year old gentleman called my assistant for an appointment and then later that day entered my office as a result of a work related lower back injury.
He was covered under the Texas Workers’ Compensation Insurance and he had injured himself by inappropriately lifting heavy equipment at his work and by twisting his low back.
Upon examination I discovered that his lumbar spinal vertebrae and a few of his lumbar discs were moderately injured and inflamed, and a number of related muscles were strained and spastic. A couple of his vertebrae had become displaced (subluxated) during the lift.
After taking a case history, examining his lumbar spine and pelvis, taking a series of lumbar spinal films and reviewing all the findings with him I began a treatment program which included vertebral adjustments and muscle trigger point therapy.
In a matter of days he began recovering and my treatment plan helped him immensely well. By the second week he was able to function normally and resume his daily work. He was so grateful for the care and education that had I provided him that he asked me if he could also have his wife Sherry’s spine evaluated. She too had had some chronic lower back discomfort and neck stiffness and soreness.
I said, “Absolutely, and you are welcome to bring in your children in for an evaluation too. I would be honoured to do an exam on her and them and make sure their spines are aligned and functioning soundly and healthily.”
He said, “That would be great, but my son has a severe and permanent problem that you won’t be able to help.”
I asked, “What do you mean?”
“He was in a serious car accident when he was a young baby nearly one year old and he’s had some deforming injuries and some severe visual and mobility problems ever since.”
“What happened?” I asked.
“I was driving with my wife and son about seventy miles an hour down a county highway, and we had a head-on collision. My son, upon impact, was thrown out of the back seat of our car about seventy feet into the air and came down onto the highway on his head and pelvis. He fractured his pelvis which left him with his leg turned inward. He ripped open and scarred his face and became blind in his right eye. He has never been able to walk or ever see from his right eye since.”
“Has he seen a chiropractor?” I asked.
“No, but he has been going to an eye specialist and an occupational therapist ever since the injury.”
I then asked, “When you bring your wife in tomorrow, please bring your son in also, just in case there is something I might be able to do. Let me at least evaluate him from a chiropractic perspective.”
The next day, the gentleman brought his wife and son in to my office for their evaluations. His son’s name was Mikey. While his wife was having her case history taken and was being pre-examined in an adjacent back room by my chiropractic assistant I began my history and examination of Mikey with his father present.
As I was examining Mikey, I noticed that he certainly had signs of a severe injury to his face, cervical spine and pelvis. A couple of his neck vertebrae were significantly out of alignment, and his pelvis was definitely partly dislocated and torqued. He also had a large wide scar across his whole face, and his right eye did not move or show signs of any sight.
As I was palpating the back of his skull and upper cervical vertebrae with my fingers I realized that two of the top three of his vertebrae were severely out of position and his brain/skull respiratory rhythmic pulse was not synchronized. When I felt the asynchrony, I knew that his brain and nervous system could not possibly be functioning optimally.
After more fully examining his spine and taking radiographic images of Mikey and sharing my findings and recommendations with his father I chose to then on the spot carefully adjust the two displaced vertebrae back into proper alignment and focus my attention on synchronizing his brain/skull respiratory rhythmic pulse.
After I adjusted his two vertebrae I then closed my eyes and gently held his skull and upper cervical spine in the palms of my hands and waited for a normal synchronization to return. After patiently waiting for a few minutes I attempted with my intention to synchronize his respiratory rhythm pulse in my hands and with my mind. This was a cranial technique that I had received specialized training for that was designed to reintegrate sensory information input to the brain after injuries.
While I held my eyes closed and concentrating on synchonizing Mikey’s pulse, all of a sudden his father, who was standing at his son’s feet at the end of the exam table yelled out ”Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Sherry! Sherry! Sherry! come quick!” His wife jumped off the examination table in the back room and came running down the hall and into the front exam room to be with her son and husband.
To all of our amazement Mikey’s right eye had moved. It opened up and was looking directly at his father and mother. His parents and I and my assistant all had chills up our spines and tears in our eyes. His parents were both sitting on the edge of the table at his feet and side holding him in tears of gratitude. A second later, we all realized that his sight had actually returned at that same moment also. It was overwhelming and made us momentarily speechless.
After regaining their composure his parents just kept saying, “It’s a miracle! It’s a miracle! If this is possible, I wonder what else is possible?” They were asking me, “Do you think doctor that Mikey might be able to ever fully function normally again?” As the three of us were all so busy discussing Mikey’s possible future recovery and not fully paying attention to Mikey’s every movements, while he was still laying on my front examination table, Mikey did something that again startled and astonished his parents.
Because he had been immobilized his whole life and was never able to walk, there was an assumption of having no danger of him squirming over to the side the table and falling off, or so we all thought.
But, while we were discussing Mikey’s future possibilities, he abruptly rolled himself off the exam table and came down partly onto his leg that was turned in and partly on to the other normal one and fell against the wall.
But before he fell, he landed on his feet, and for one short second, he stood. He had never been able to do this in his entire life until that moment. At this point he was 4 years of age.
I initiated a treatment program that included a series of synchronizations and adjustments for Mikey and started working with his upper cervical spine and his pelvis, and gradually his eye motions improved, and eventually his right eyesight returned to normal permanently.
His parents put him in skateboarding elbow pads, kneepads, wrist pads, and a helmet as they and I gradually taught him how to carefully and effectively stand and then walk. After three months of frequent adjustments in my office Mikey was able to walk completely down my office hallway on his own without falling over once. Soon little Mikey was able to walk without his helmet, kneepads or elbow pads and also see and move his right eye perfectly normally.
Mikey’s parents were told that Mikey would be handicapped for the rest of his life by his occupational therapist and eye specialist, and that he would never see from his right eye or walk. Every time we made additional progress, it brought tears of gratitude in his parents’ and my eyes. We were all grateful to see this apparent “miracle” unfold, and I was very grateful to be a part of Mikey’s inspiring recovery.
I learnt to not give up on my patients, nor underestimate the power and potential they had within to heal. If someone tells me that miraculous healings can’t happen, it just means that that is their opinion and it doesn’t mean that it’s fact. Although it is wise to set reasonable and realistic expectations, I just am not always sure what exactly they are when it comes to healing. I’ve seen so many other amazing healings happen that other specialists have called miracles, so I just keep working with patients in the hope of seeing more healing miracles. All I can say is thank you Mikey for coming into my office on that special and memorable day and demonstrating what some have called a miracle.

Miracle of the week – Terminal Kidney Disease to Normal Health, by Tamara Gray
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
Miracles of Healing & Health.
About seven years ago, I was 25 and diagnosed with a terminal kidney auto-immune disease. I was told I would probably live only to forty and not be able to have children.
I thought no way in hell’!! I tried everything to get well including acupuncture, naturopathy, osteopathy, Chinese herbs, kinesiology, allergy testing and a very strict diet. All these things helped, but I only saw about 30% improvement.
Then, a friend’s father told me about NET (Neuro Emotional Technique – a branch of Chiropractic) – I laughed. He then got me a book about it. No dice. Then he also got me a video. Yeah right, I thought.
After about the fourth time over a year of him telling me how helpful it might be, I finally went thinking, okay, one time only.
I had about three years of NET, until finally I cleared a preconception fear and the NEC (Neuro Emotional Complex) lodged of course in my kidneys.
Since then I have been pain free and am only the tiniest bit below normal kidney function. I feel this miracle saved my life.
I have since returned for four years of further study to train as a psychologist so I can bring NET to many unhappy and mentally unwell clients.

Miracle of the week – Little Lachlan, by Dr Keith Charlton
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
Miracles of Healing and Health.
I am a chiropractor in suburban Brisbane. One of my most memorable patients is little Lachlan. He arrived in a push chair when he was three years old. He was blue, pale and listless. But Lachlan wasn’t the patient, his mother was. She had brought his brother who was 5 or 6 years old who was hyperactive.
When the mother got better, we then we looked at his big brother and he seemed to improve and become less restless.
I said to the mother one day, ”Why is Lachlan so listless?” She said, “he doesn’t have long to live. He has a congenital heart defect. Every now and then he has to go to hospital and go on oxygen to stay alive and stay vital. But we have been warned that he doesn’t have long to live.”
I said, “well I can’t cure congenital heart defects and I can’t cure fatigue but what I look for is if there is any nerve interference that might be stopping him being able to get through a day, so are you happy for me to see him”.
She said yes of course, and so we adjusted him a couple of times, very gently.
This was right before we were to close for Christmas and New Year and when we opened the door to the practice in January after our break, the door flung open, there was a crash and a bang and that would normally have been Lachlan’s big brother but this time it was Lachlan ,he couldn’t sit still . He was full of boundless energy and full of well being.
What did I do? Well, I can only say that I looked for nerve interference and I released it.
It’s only an anecdote, but by golly it’s a powerful one.

Miracle of the week – Arthritis can be reversed!, by Dr Ogi Ressel
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
Miracle of Healing & Health.
When I was in my first year of practice, a young girl came to see me as a patient. She was nineteen and in severe pain. She would often need to crawl on the floor to go to the bathroom.
She was employed as a teller at a local bank, and would have to get up at 5:00 A.M., because she needed the time to stand in a hot shower and let the hot water run down her back and legs. This was necessary for her to be limber enough to put on her panty hose. By noon, the bank would be forced to send her home because of severe pain. She had frequent reactions to the amounts of aspirin she was taking for pain – there was no Tylenol in those days.
She finally went to her family doctor who subsequently sent her for physiotherapy. She went faithfully, three times per week for a year. The pain increased. Eventually she was referred to an orthopedic surgeon who couldn’t help.
She was finally sent to a Rheumatologist, blood tests were done and it was conclusively confirmed that she had Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was told that by the time she reached her twenty-fourth birthday, she would probably be in a wheelchair!
Her parents were not wealthy people, having recently emigrated from England, and they were saving money so that they could build ramps around their house for their daughter.
To make a long story short, as I started to correct her subluxations, the pain began to subside, the laboratory tests for Rheumatoid Arthritis eventually became negative, and as we worked together, we became very close.
And that is the story of my wife.
I want you to know that we had no wheelchair at home, Linda was in no pain, and no longer had arthritis.
And it is this story that made me pursue the reversibility of arthritis and disc degeneration. And after much study and a number of research papers, it was confirmed – Arthritis can be reversed! And that has given millions of people a new lease on life.
Unfortunately, Linda passed away a few years ago after a brave battle with bowel cancer, but her legacy lives on.

Miracle of the Week – My Mother In Law & Back Pain, submitted by Dr Damian Bell
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
A big 150kg male bikie came to my practice, with chronic lower back pain. He’d been to physiotherapists, osteopaths, other chiropractors and medical doctors.
Being intimidated by him, I adjusted his back and said I would see him in a week. On his return I asked how his back was, he replied, great until yesterday. I thought that’s okay. I adjusted him again. I saw him a week later. How is your back? Great, until yesterday he replied. I adjusted him again and sent him away.
Next week, when I saw him he said his back was great until yesterday. So at this point I decided to explore this further. I asked him to take me through his typical Sunday just in case he was re-injuring himself.
His Sunday was this: an early morning rise, walk the dogs (little fluffy poodles), potter in the garden (small courtyard), read the papers and at about 1pm he cleaned the BBQ (at this point he grabbed his back). I said, Do you clean your BBQ every week? Yes, every week. What time does your back hurt? 2pm. What happens just before 2pm? My mother in law comes around. I said, let me do a different technique and if it doesn’t work, I won’t charge you. I did NET (Neuro Emotional Technique – a branch of Chiropractic).
The next week when he came back, I said, How’s your back? He said, It’s a miracle, it’s never been better! I said, my technique worked didn’t it? He said, No, I still hate my mother in law!

Miracle of the Week – Emerging Free from Sexual Abuse, by Dr Allen Knecht
Author: Dr. John Hinwood
Miracle of Healing & Health
Four years ago, one of my long time patients referred her friend to me.
CC had been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and had recently lost her business, declared bankruptcy and was on several prescription medications to manage the depression and mood swings she suffered from.
Through a process of alleviating interference to the nervous system with chiropractic adjustments, nutrition, homeopathy and NET (Neuro Emotional Technique – a branch of Chiropractic) she is now off all her prescription medications.
She has a thriving business that is expanding and is truly a NET miracle!
In the course of treatment, we uncovered significant sexual abuse by two different step-fathers between the age of 3-9.
She fought hard to face the emotional traumas of the past to emerge the free and wonderful miracle that she is today!
