A Miracle of Love
In 1994, after a very successful life in television from aged 19 (1989 to 1991) I had hit some hard times, and short story, I was broke and addicted to marijuana.

I was fortunate to have some great friends and family (some of them) who had stuck by me.

One of those friends is a lady called Pam. We had been friends since 1979. We met me in Melbourne at Spencer Street (after 6 months on drugs in Noosa) and I had an empty cigarette pack as a wallet.

The next day she gave me a ‘lucky wallet’ and she believed in me and since then we have been married for 14 years. We have 3 children and financially secure.

A Miracle of Courage

This weeks miracle story was submitted by Sharon Hall, Coppell, Texas USA.

When I was 3 ½ years old I had always been a very mischievous child and always in trouble.

One day as our flower man was leaving the garage in his truck, I decided to hold on the bumper and walk backwards while he backed up. Things were going so well, I was able to keep my little legs up with his driving … until he turned the wheel onto the street and I lost my footing and fell on the street … him not knowing I was there, backed up some more.

Here I was laying in the street, he is backing the truck and the next thing I know the left rear wheel is rolling over my left hip. You would think I would have been afraid, but instead laying there under the dark truck was a beautiful yellow glow with me. You see my Grandmother was a beautiful Christian woman and as long as I could remember she had told me stories of how we all had a guardian angel who was always with us to help and guide.

I knew Jesus sent my guardian angel to stay with me and I was calm and not afraid. The driver Cecil jumped out of the truck when he felt he had hit something and when he saw me, he started crying.

I told him I was fine, my guardian angel was under the truck with me. He pulled me out and I am still not crying as I have the warm glow of my angel with me. He ran with me in his arms crying and screaming for my parents.

Of course, my Mother was hysterical and took me from his grip and stood me up and I feel down. I had broken my pelvis. I went to hospital for an x-ray and a cast was put on for six weeks. But I was never afraid, for my guardian angel was with me.

While under the truck, I remember the beautiful picture my Grandmother had of the guardian angel with the two children as they crossed over an old bridge during the night. I have this picture to this day.

A young woman about 18 years of age was hospitalized for bipolar disorder and she was traumatized by being restrained. She was very depressed and even more disturbed afterwards and unemployed for a long period of time.

After NET (Neuro Emotional Technique – a branch of Chiropractic)care for 12 to18 months, the miracle is she has achieved a huge goal and joined a circus as a gymnast. She has recovered her self esteem and has no signs of any mental imbalance anymore.

When we young I remember spending most of my holidays at my aunties house, ohh those were the days. We could be ourselves, young teenage children having fun.

Thinking of those days bring back the fondest memories of my childhood, did we get up to some mischief.

I remember going back home, back to normality and feeling like the world had ended.

It’s not that home was bad, I’m sure there is a lot worse out there. It was just unhappy times, parents busy with work and us the built in baby sitters for the younger kids.

I remember going to school one morning with my sister and kicking a rubbish bag, back then the bags were on the street awaiting collection.

Well this bag I kicked split open, my sister ran thinking wed get in trouble. I watched as rubbish started falling out of the bag, as it fell I saw something green.

“It was a $100 note”

“Wow” I said as I watched more hundred dollar notes fall out, I started picking them up.

All up there was $1200 worth of hundred dollar notes in that bag. I turned around and headed home to take the money to mum. Being a kid I thought wow I might get a reward. Back then we could buy a coke and a pie for $1.50 so $1200 was amazing.

Mum rang the police and told them what happened, an officer came round and we took him to where we found the money, all the bags were gone the rubbish truck had been.

The police said if no one claimed the money we would get it.

It ends up the money belonged to an old man who had passed on. Cleaners had cleaned his house and thrown out all the rubbish, including the money.

The man had a daughter; she had hired the cleaners so the police gave the money to her. I was really happy she got the money back but I still felt like I should have got a reward. Typical teenager behavior.

It had been 2 weeks since I’d found that money when mum said there was a letter for me. I opened it to find a thank you card with $50 in it. The lady explained how she was struggling after the cost of the funeral and how that money will look after her family for a while.

I remember thinking how heartless am I expecting a reward, I felt guilty even looking at that $50. I learnt a valuable lesson that day and that was never expect anything physical back when you do good deeds. Do them because you want to as what you give to the universe you will get back.
